Partnership with Active Attitudes to develop children's sports skills

YMCA Children's Programs is introducing a new initiative to support students attending our After School Program.

The Y has partnered with Active Attitudes to provide a sports clinics that aim to improve children’s confidence and coordination in a variety of sporting skills.

The program covers popular sports including AFL, basketball and soccer, as well as a variety of games that help build skills across a number of different sports.

The clinics do not incur any additional fees for children attending our After School Program, and unlike other after school activities, parents/guardians do not need to be present onsite.

The other great advantage of this opportunity is that you’re able to use your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlements to subsidise the After School Program fees.

Availability of sports clinic

This initiative will be piloted over four weeks in March 2021 at three schools in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Once the pilot has finished we will consider introducing this initiative at further schools in our network.

The pilot will run at these three YMCA partner schools: Point Cook CollegeFeatherbrook College and Kororoit Creek Primary.

The table below outlines when the pilot clinics will run at each participating school.
