STEM pilot program launching in OSHC

We are committed to inspiring and empowering young people to thrive, and we are passionate about ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed. Recognising the Department of Education's concerns over declining student performance in science and maths, we are excited to announce a pilot STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program across nine of our OSHC sites.

Why STEM matters

STEM education is crucial for developing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills. It equips students with the competencies needed to navigate and succeed in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world. By engaging in STEM activities, children build a foundation for future careers in innovative fields, addressing the growing demand for skills in these areas.

Our pilot program

Our program aims to enhance students' knowledge in science and maths through fun, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning. By increasing access to these activities, we hope to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and problem solvers.

Following the pilot, our goal is to expand the STEM program across all OSHC services and embed it within our Early Learning Centres. By broadening access to these activities, we aim to help children build valuable future-ready skills.
