Barton Primary YMCA Before and After School Program

Our programs are here to support busy Cranbourne families before and after school. Suitable for children between five and 12 years old, our programs are a great way for your child to socialise and make new friends.

We have a range of fun activities for your child to get involved in – from arts and crafts to sport and ball games. We can even help your child get ahead with their homework. Whatever sparks their interest, our qualified and friendly Educators will make sure they have an amazing start and end to their day.

We provide a healthy and delicious breakfast in the morning and nutritious snacks after school, so you have one less thing to worry about!

We also offer additional programs including Early Finish Wednesday and Pupil Free Day activities, depending on booking numbers.

School Holiday Program

Our Cranbourne holiday program provides an opportunity for your child to learn from new experiences through a fun mix of activities, while making new friends along the way.

We offer a wide variety of interest-based in-house activities, themed incursions and exciting excursions. Our holiday programs are run by experienced Educators who help your child become more confident and independent.

Activities could include unleashing your imagination during our dress up day, learning all about the amazing world of creepy creatures, or joining our very own circus. We've even taken children on fun excursions to Chesterfield Farm and Bounce Keysborough.

Autumn Adventures Holiday Program

Bookings are now open for our Autumn 2025 School Holiday Program! The program runs on weekdays from Monday 7 April to Thursday 17 April 2025 (excluding public holidays).

We've planned a bumper program of school holiday activities that will interest your child over the holidays. There are three different types of activity days.

Activity days

In-house (activities run by our Educator team)
Incursion (activities run by visitors to our service)
Excursion (activities run at an off-site location)
Self-guided incursion (premium activities run by our educator team)

What to bring

Lunch and snack (nutritious and nut free)
SunSmart hat and sunscreen
Water bottle
Weather appropriate clothing and shoes
Towel and change of clothes as required (for any activities involving water or messy play)

The prices listed in the table below are the full fee for each day. If you're entitled to Child Care Subsidy, what you actually pay could be significantly reduced.

Friday 11 April	A Garden of Expression We're celebrating World Art Day! Cultivate community through art today as we explore local artists and create our own art both visually and through performance pieces. Category: Inhouse Cost: $92.00

Monday 14 April	Back to Nature Immerse yourself in nature as we make bird feeders, create amazing dragonfly art, go on a nature scavenger hunt and make our own grass heads to watch them grow! Category: Inhouse Cost: $92.00
Tuesday 15 April	Kite Create Decorate and build your very own kite to take home and fly today. We'll be conducting experiments and creating crafts designed to take your breath away. Category: Self-guided Incursion Cost: $103.00
Wednesday 16 April	Mini Golf We're off to Wetlands Adventures for 36 holes of Mini Golf. Can you get a hole in one to win bragging rights for the rest of the day? Category: Excursion Cost: $129.00
Thursday 17 April	Hoops n Swoops Our friends at Cube Sports are coming to visit and run their basketball workshop today. Learn how to work as a team, dribble, shoot, pass, catch and move around the court. Category: Incursion Cost: $113.00

To support our families, we offer permanent and casual booking options. Casual bookings do incur an additional cost.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Our programs qualify for the Federal Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS). CCS helps eligible families access approved and registered child care providers by partially subsidising the cost of daily fees.

The 'Fee' price listed in the table above is the full permanent or casual daily fee for each program without any CCS entitlements.

*The 'You pay as little as' price is an example of the out of pocket fee paid by families who qualify for the maximum CCS percentage (90%). The fees above are calculated at 85% subsidy to allow for the 5% withheld by Services Australia to reduce the chances of an overpayment.

When our holiday programs are open for bookings, you'll be able to see the prices for each activity on this page. These prices are the daily price and do not include any CCS you may be entitled to, which could significantly reduce your out of pocket expense.

Prices

The table below lists the current daily fee for our in house school holiday program activity days at Barton Primary. This price came into effect from Monday 7 August 2023. Prices for the excursions will be available for each school holiday program when it is released approximately 4 weeks prior to the start of the holidays.

Each activity day incurs a separate cost that is confirmed prior to each holidays when bookings are opened.

Program tables are available to view under the ‘Next program’ section, prior to the start of each school holiday. These detail the daily activities types and associated fees.

Fees listed on program tables are not inclusive of any Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlements, which may reduce your out-of-pocket expense.
