If your child needs quality care outside school hours, is between five and 12 years old, and enrolled in primary school – they will love YMCA Before and After School Programs.
We're proud to be part of the Point Cook College community in Point Cook, Victoria – where we offer YMCA Before and After School Programs (also known as Outside School Hours Care). This service is run by YMCA Children's Programs – part of YMCA Victoria.
Our Before and After School Programs are designed to complement your child’s school learning through activities and socialising. Your child and family can experience the following benefits from being enrolled in our Before and After School Programs:
- flexibility and support for families
- enhanced emotional intelligence
- improved cognitive development through activities.
We look forward to working with the children, parents and staff of Point Cook College to deliver a high-quality program that your children love as much as we do.
Our Before and After School Programs offer:
- arts and crafts;
- board games and puzzles;
- creative and expressive arts such as drama, singing and dancing;
- homework time;
- gardening and recycling;
- sports, ball games and team games.
We also provide healthy and delicious snacks, with breakfast being served in the morning, and afternoon tea after school.
The Y also offers the following services at the same location:
- Point Cook YMCA School Holiday Program
- Point Cook YMCA Early Learning Centre
- Point Cook YMCA Facility Hire
We also offer care on curriculum days / pupil free days.
We believe in an inclusive society for all children and families. Children with additional needs are welcome to attend our program. Families should contact the OSHC Coordinator beforehand to discuss your child's needs. Find out more about inclusion at YMCA Children's Programs.
To accommodate our families, we offer the following care on school days:
- Before School Care: 6:30am to 8:45am
- After School Care: 3:00pm to 6:30pm
Safeguarding and quality standards
At the Y, our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of your child. We are an accredited child-safe organisation with safeguarding and quality standards embedded across all our services.

Prices and subsidies
To support our families, we offer two types of bookings:
- permanent bookings
- casual bookings

These costs come into effect on Monday 8 February 2020.

Our programs qualify for the Federal Government's Child Care Subsidy. The Child Care Subsidy helps eligible families access approved and registered child care providers, by partially subsidising the cost of daily fees. Please note, the prices above do not include any child care subsidy you may be entitled to, which could significantly reduce your out-of-pocket expense.
